We are building a foundation model for digital humans. Digital humans need to be able to move, speak, and interact with the world around them. All in real time. Our research focuses on novel model architectures, building multimodal datasets, and model training techniques.

Fellowship Opportunity

Canopy Labs offers fellows the opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI research for digital humans. Fellows will gain hands-on experience with foundation model development, multimodal dataset creation, and real-time AI systems. Xabier Irizar is an Exponential Fellow and Machine Learning Engineer at Canopy Labs. Originally from San Sebastián in the Basque Country, he studied Engineering Science at the Technical University of Munich, where he developed a strong foundation in AI and machine learning. Prior to joining Canopy, Xabier conducted research at Harvard University and was involved with TUM.ai, Munich's largest student initiative for artificial intelligence. Now based in San Francisco, he is helping build cutting-edge AI solutions.
